Spin World Spin

Spin world spin
on an axis of caring
acceptance and trust
giving and sharing.

Unlock the windows
open the doors
spell out welcome
on the lucky shores.

Spin world spin
 fingers outreaching
souls intertwining
 searching eyes meeting.

Cradle the babies
nurture the children
value the families
 the richness within them.

Build up the cities
one with another
rainbow coloured
 sound-scaped with laughter.

Spin world spin
on an axis of loving
welcome and tolerance
 open hearts budding.

The featured photo was taken by Christopher Dean in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in Japan. Each year children from around the world fold origami cranes to be placed in the Children's Peace Monument in memory of a young girl named Sadako whose story gives flight to their prayers for world peace and love for one another. This picture made with paper cranes is but one of the 10 000 000 cranes and pictures that are placed at the Children's Peace Monument each year.
