Each year children from around the world fold origami cranes to be placed in the Children's Peace Monument in memory of a young girl named Sadako whose story gives flight to their prayers for world peace and love for one another. This picture made with paper cranes is but one of the 10 000 000 cranes and pictures that are placed at the Children's Peace Monument each year.
